Abstract
God's Infinitude, Immensity, Goodness, Justice, Mercy, Grace, Omnipresence, Immanence, Holiness, Perfection all answer, what is God like? For A.W. Tozer, there is no question more important. In fact, Tozer's desire to know God and His fullness consumed his entire life and ministry.

Originally preached as sermons at Southside Alliance Church in Chicago, this first volume of The Attributes of God examines ten attributes of God. A study guide has been added for an in depth look at each attribute. This all important book deals with the most important subject matter of God's traits. We should esteem Him stricken, smitten and afflicted, yet see Him as our Creator and King in awe, wonder, and fear with righteousness and amazement. How can we even be allowed to have a glimpse of His beauty, compassion, and grace?

What others say about A.W. Tozer and his writings: "If a sermon can be compared to light, then A.W. Tozer released a laser beam from the pulpit, a beam that penetrated the heart." Warren Wiersbe

Amazing
This is a "must read book" for anybody who wants to fall in love with our amazing God.Tozer is practical , easy to read author -but- you need to read this book slowly in order to obtain all the blessings God has for you.Every chapter I read I discover more and more from my God , I just want to glorify Him all my life . We just finish a study in my church Mision de Gracia in El Paso based in this wonderful book, I bet our life will not be the same .

The Attributes of God Volume 1

The author, A.W. Tozer, humbly describes the nature of God in terms and language that is very understandable considering we are discussing God. The chapters and descriptions (Attributes)link logically together.

I was searching for answers for a friend who expounded, "the God of the Old Testament was not like the God of the New Testament." Tozers explanation of God's justice was what I could not communicate like Tozer did.

In summary, I feel Tozer's work is also "inspired!"

Excellent, excellent, excellent!
What more can I say. I have found so much in these books that leave me amazed, that make me raise my hands and worship God. The information draws me nearer to God, fleshes out the picture of God in my heart. I can speak more confidently about Him and to Him. I have always suspected that there was something wrong with the popular picture of a super nice God, who is all-forgiving and who has a sugary-sweet loving nature.
These books have given me a biblically-balanced view of God. He is so much more than the popular version. I find myself in awe of Him even with a tinge of fear (not the scary type) but one of "He truly is GOD!"

Now that I am starting to understand His attributes, I begin to see how wonderful our salvation really is, why the work on the cross is so significant and why everyone MUST bow their knees and call Him Lord.

I sincerely believe that these books are a MUST READ for every Christian. I mean, how else are you going to follow Him, if you have no idea Who He is and what He is truly like?

If they can rate these books 10 stars, I will do so.

A.W Tozer is with our Lord even now, and as he lives in glory with the Lord that He has written so much about, he probably realises that these books he wrote, however excellent and true, are but shadows and the foothills of Who are Lord really is.

I thank God that these books are available.

classic Tozer

if you don't have this then get it. Tozer is a great man of God and insightful author.

Some of the best of Tozer in one book!
Inspiring reading from a true man of God! I won't add much to some of the other reviews that did a great job breaking down the content but will give you a real and honest opinion about this author.

I have read A LOT of books in my life journey to become a "better Christian"...Please don't hesitate on this author! I hold Tozer in the same regard as Andrew Murray and Spurgeon. If you are the type of reader that wants the Spirit of God to jump off the page and knock you to your knees in repentance...Well, I think you get the point.
